 Honouring Your Parents

Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Joshua 24:15,

Parents and Children

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

 

As for me and my house...

"If it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

 

Children are to obey their parents

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." Ephesians 6:1-3,

Husbands and wives

In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. Ephesians 5:28, (NIV)

Caring for your family is a priority

If anyone has no care for his family and those in his house, he is false to the faith, and is worse than one who has no faith. 1 Timothy 5:8,
