Dear Lord,
We beg of you, God of all comfort, to look upon, visit, and help thy sick servant N., for whom our prayers are most earnestly requested. Observe him with compassion, comfort him with the knowledge of thy goodness, shield him from the devil's temptations, and grant him endurance in the face of his suffering. Give him the ability to live the rest of his life in thy fear and glory, and grant that he will one day be able to spend eternity with thee, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
