O Most High, We have strayed so far from the shore of our greatest love and dedication. Assist us in recalling the sensation of dry land, our feet resting on forgiveness, and the foundation we established. Around us, the water is so salty that it is heaving with sorrow and pain. Come, kiss our lips once more with the lovely kiss of youth, with hopes and dreams. Our small boats detect danger, we are weaker as a group, and fear breakers collide with our sides. Please gently guide us both to a harbour, where we might find time and space to birth fresh peace. We used to set sail in our boat, "unity," in order to work together as a team and become friends. Please assist us in mending and repairing this magnificent ship so that it can set sail once more. Until each crack is filled with your gift of love and the scratches are completely removed. Until the hull is free of leaks and sadness, until the deck is repainted and the cloth replaced. Until our cupboards are brimming with new provisions and food, and our ropes, lights, and anchor are brand new. Until our maps and charts are rediscovered and reopened, and we entrust you with our priceless marriage.
